VJ Day – 75 years on.
Because those who were there can no longer remind us, we have to ensure we never forget.
I am privileged to be attending the ceremony in Hereford later today commemorating our Armed Forces.
The Reverend Sean Semple marked the start of VJ Day by playing Battle’s O’er from the tower of St Mary’s Church in Ross on Wye. Across the world, pipers marked the 75th anniversary of VJ Day by playing as the sun rose.
