On Wednesday, 8th January 2014 Bob visited the Central Motorway Police Group at Hindlip Hall, Worcester. Sergeant Paul Smith met Bob at Hindlip Hall and then drove him to Perry Barr, Birmingham to the Central Motorway Police Group headquarters. At the headquarters Bob was introduced to Chief Superintendent Martin Evans and members of his staff. Superintendent Evans explained the purpose and functions of the Group and its importance to maintaining road and public safety in the region. He was then taken to the Highways Agency to see the work in operation of both the police and Highways Agency operators. Bob was then driven on motorway patrol by Sergeant Smith and ended the day by visiting the VOSNA centre at Ross to understand the work carried out there.
It was a fascinating visit which Bob greatly enjoyed. Once again, Bob was hugely impressed by the dedication and professionalism of the West Mercia Police Force.
