V E Day Beacon

The High Sheriff was honoured to light the beacon to commemorate 70 years since VE Day. The beacon with a ‘V’ shaped flame was part of a national lighting of beacons around the country. The Lord Lieutenant and Chairman of the Council both gave a speech. Following the ceremony archive images of the Herefordshire Regiment were projected onto Lloyds Bank in High Town.
