This week, over 4 nights, we’ve been watching Britain’s Greatest Generation on BBC 2.
It’s been a thought provoking few days as survivors of WW2, have told their stories of duty, bravery and survival, and also of their love, loss and fear.
All in their 90’s and some over 100 years old, what has shone through is their resilience and determination, that no matter what they faced, tomorrow was going to be a better day.
We will have to imagine the local celebrations we would have been having to mark the 75th years since Victory in Europe, but let’s make sure we do something at home today to celebrate this great day, to say Thank You to all those who served and sacrificed so much for our nation.
