Day Two – INNOVATION

Operation Rescript is the military operation to assist the UK’s efforts to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom, and boy, have the Armed Forces been innovative.

Many roles and skills have been utilised when 20,000 service personnel joined civilians and provided military aid. Medics have supported NHS and Health and social care staff, mobile testing units set up, patients and goods have been transported by just about every kind of method of transport you can think of, designers and engineers have facilitated the timely building of Nightingales and other temporary hospitals, PPE has been 3D printed, tests have been tested, the list is long. In all over 160 MACA requests have been responded to.
