Creating a Happier & Heathier Herefordshire – 6th March 2019

This was a meeting of people to “blue sky” think about what the future of the County could and should look like in the longer term. In many ways it was utopian and did not take into account how varied are our human species. On the other hand, without such dreams, humanity would not advance at all or, worse, go down some terrible road to ruin.
The workshop was hosted by Perry Walker of Talk-Shop. There was much emphasis on sustainability and community solutions. These are sensible goals. There was, to my mind, a faith in central planning in the widest sense that was not necessarily justified by history but anarchy has an even worse track record. It will be interesting to see how things turn out.
