Visit of HRH Princess Alexandra

Bob and Bea were privileged to attend the opening of The Georgian Stables at Hellens, Much Marcle in the presence of HRH Princess Alexandra on Saturday 21st September.  The day was generously hosted by the Munthe family, who along with their very hard working committee, have restored and converted the stables into a residential educational building for young people from across Herefordshire.

Following a tour of the stables, Her Royal Highness unveiled a plaque commemorating her visit.  Following tea, Her Royal Highness and guests were given a tour of the State Rooms at Hellens.

Finally, Her Royal Highness and guests attended a concert by Christian Blackshaw and The Rasumovsky Ensemble in Hellens Barn.  The programme included music by Beethoven and Schubert.

Bob and Bea were especially impressed by the  hard work of the committee and how they and the Munthe family organise Hellens as an inclusive facility for the local community.
