City Council procession

The Mayor of Hereford, the Deputy Mayor, the Swordbearer and the Chairman of the County Council before the short City Council procession from the Town Hall to the Cenotaph and then on to St Peters Church. It was lovely there was such a crowd to join in the moments of remembrance. Stirring bugles and pipes.

(The Cap of Maintenance worn by the swordbearer, Derek Mumford is 1 of only 10 in the country. Presented by Queen Elizabeth I to symbolise the right to raise taxes; and made our Hereford Mayor, the Right Worshipful.)
