CELEBRATION OF HOPE – 13th November2014

10483900_735535936501623_6766344669341421074_o — Ellie, Will and Allanah from the Gloucestershire Y-Team and Daisy, Jennii and Simeon from the Herefordshire Y-Team earned the national Diana Champion Volunteer Award for all of their hard work over the last year. Councillor Deb Llewellyn, The Right Worshipful the Mayor of Gloucester and the High Sheriff presenting the awards.

The High Sheriff attended the AGM of HOPE in the Royal Hotel Ross-on-Wye. The Right Worshipful Mayor of Gloucester and the Mayor of Ross-on-Wye also attended. There were some excellent, vibrant and amusing presentations on the work of the Youth Teams of this buzzing Charity. HOPE exists to help those who have a terminally ill adult in their family with the advice, comfort, reassurance, counselling and support young need during such a traumatic event. It is well worth visiting their website for a fuller explanation of their aims and achievements. I was humbled to be asked to present the Diana Award to some of the Hereford Youth Team.
