The High Sheriff gave a brief outline of the events leading up to the start of the War 100 yeas ago and laid a wreath at the War Memorial in Llanwarne on behalf of The South Herefordshire Hunt. Rev Neil Patterson his Shrieval Chaplain said a few words and a prayer. A two minute silence was observed which was followed by one of the Joint Masters Mal Williams blowing the “Gone Away” and the “Going Home” on his hunting horn.
The simple ceremony was very poignant and was attended by around 20 mounted followers as well as foot followers and a number of local residents.
