On 21st September The High Sheriff attended the Ross-on-Wye Town Council Civic Service.This was held in the Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin. The service was conducted by The Revd Sarah Jones, Rector, and the Revd Colin Leggate, Chaplain to Industry Business and Commerce. The reverend Nick Adlley assisted.The lessons were read by the Head Boy and Girl of the John Kyrle High School and Mrs Denise Mason, the Town Clerk .
The Mayor renewed his vows to serve Ross and the Revd Leggate preached the sermon. A wide range of Mayors from Hereford’s market towns and Hereford attended as did the Mayor of Monmouth. The Royal British Legion found the standard bearers. After the service a sumptuous lunch was served in the Bowling Club.
