CHORAL EVENSONG – WESTON-UNDER-PENYARD -29TH JUNE 2014

The High Sheriff attended choral evensong sung by The Hereford Cathedral Choir in the Parish church of St Lawrence, Weston-under-Penyard.  The Service was conducted by the Reverend Neil Patterson.  The Precentor of Hereford Cathedral brought the choir which was conducted by Geraint Bowen and accompanied by Peter Dyke.  The Dean of Hereford Cathedral, the Very Reverend Michael Tavinor preached the sermon based on a theme of St Peter the Rock.  The anthem Tu es Petrus continued this theme.
