Music at Sellack Church 17 May 2014

The Ivory Duo featuring Shirley Coates and Valerie Tomalin played an evening of piano duets to a full church in St Tysilio’s.  The music was delightful. The church is currently clad in scaffolding as part of a project to make the spire safe and other major restoration works.  In phase 2 the plan is to install a lavatory and some facilities at the back to make the church more useable in the 21st century.  The evening raised around £700 which continues to close the gap of finance. £140.000 is needed that is £20,000 short of the requirement.  There is an ambitious series of fundraising events for the summer to achieve this.  Again it is most impressive to see a dedicated band of people putting so much back into their communities
