The Official Opening of The Blackmarston School, Hereford

Bob and Bea were privileged to be invited to the official opening of The Blackmarston School in Hereford on Thursday, 6th March 2014.  They were met by the Chair of Governors, Mr John Sklan and introduced to the Headteacher, Mrs Sian Bailey and the School Business Manager, Mrs Sue Adams.  They were taken to the School Hall where the children performed a wonderful concert.  It began with a Whole School Performance of “New Beginnings” and this was followed by the School Choir singing “The Building Song”.

Mr Clive Richards then performed the Official Opening of the new building along with the oldest and youngest pupils.  People who had worked and helped in fundraising , building etc of the school were given certificates by the children.  The event finished with the school choir signing “Spring Fever”.  And after a lovely tea, Bob and Bea were shown around the magnificent new facility.  This is a school and about the children but mention must go to the dedication and selflessness of all the staff, the Parent Teacher Association and the Governors.  It is very difficult to express in a short paragraph what a superbly wonderful school this is.
